Earn $21/hour
This is a professional position teaching swimming to developmentally disabled individuals. An Employee in this class organizes and supervises Aquatics programs for therapeutic purposes, to teach cooperation, sportsmanship, daily perceptual motor skills, and to provide structured development programs and promote lifetime sports for residents. Work is performed under the direction of the Program Director. Knowledge of the principles and practices of aquatics and its therapeutic value as it relates to developmentally disabled individuals.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university with major course work in physical and /or recreational education, special education, or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Adapted Aquatics Instructor and/or Life Guarding Certification preferred.
