Moog is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to direct and motivate a crew of 10 or more maintenance personnel in a manufacturing facility. Reporting to a Facilities Manager, you will have a 9/80 schedule option and work onsite daily at our aerospace manufacturing plant in Torrance, CA.

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

* Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department (supports 3 shifts with a team of maintenance techs and janitorial staff). Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

* Distribute PM's and repair of wastewater treatment, plating area repairs, heat treat furnace repairs, air pollution control equipment, air compressors and boilers

* Distribute PM's and repair of electrical infrastructure, maintain exterior and interior features, minor structural maintenance, buildings and grounds, repair and maintenance of office furnishings

* Oversee and troubleshoot controls and drive systems (Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens); oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and monitoring devices such as level indicators, flow meters, scales, pressure transducers, thermocouples and motion control equipment.

* Adhere to Safety policies and responsible for team's safety and work environment. (LOTO, NFPA, OSHA)

* Coordinate and prioritize workflow regarding general tasks, projects to meet the production needs of the plant.

* Schedule contractor for major repairs as required.

* Ensure that employee performance reviews are conducted based upon their specific job description to determine competency, knowledge, and the contributions of each maintenance technician.

* Participate as a functional member of the maintenance department; coordinate with the supervisors on other shifts and other departments.

* Responsible for professional development and cross training processes for direct reports

* Ensure team follows all safety protocols, applies lean principles and good housekeeping requirements.

* Serve as a role model for Moog's company culture

To be considered for the role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

* Associate's Degree with 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

* OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

* 5 or more years of supervisory experience

Preferred qualifications include:

* Advanced mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repairs of production machines.

* Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards

* Basic mindset of continuous improvement and quality improvement methods such as Lean Thinking, Waste Reduction, 5S tools

* Proficient with Microsoft Office, CMMS software or similar software.

* Wastewater Operators Certificate Level 3

* Understanding of Air Pollution Control systems and working knowledge of SCAQMD requirements

* Experience with PLC and VFDs

* Proficiency in Pump design and operation (Centrifugal, Vacuum, Positive Displacement)

* Proficiency in Boiler operations

* Proficiency in Pneumatic systems

Salary range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $67,000 - $100,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
