JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Summary

This position plans and coordinates Student Life and Development event logistics including publicity. He/she/they will provide administrative support ensuring the Student Engagement office functions efficiently. Additionally this position coordinates Timberwolf Table logistics and functions. Due to the nature of this position, some night and weekend work is required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.

Program Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate in the planning and implementation of events to create engagement within the student community.
  • Provide coordination for Student Engagement events to include scheduling, logistical, financial, and physical arrangements of activities, events, and field trips including day-of event support.
  • Coordinate promotion of Student Engagement events across multiple platforms.
  • Track event attendance, student/club participation, and assess effectiveness of programming initiatives and activities.
  • Assist in the planning and day-of coordination of recreational athletic program.

Student Club Administration:

  • Serve as administrative liaison with student clubs, assisting advisors and members in their planning and success including the exploration of programming, travel, and fundraising ideas.
  • Interpret, explain and enforce College policies relating to club activities.
  • Receive and process club paperwork, including:
    • Funding requests
    • Club Activity Forms
    • Club activity scheduling through Facilities
    • Financial transfers between club and master Student Engagement budgets

Student Leadership Initiatives:

  • Oversee Student Development's LEAD Model and advise student affinity groups (e.g. club funding, advocacy, inclusion/belonging, program planning committees, including recruitment of new members.
  • Advise NTC's participation on Wisconsin Student Government and coordination of NTC's participation in the Legislative Seminar.
  • Assist in the planning of student recognition events and initiatives including Graduation.

Student Support Services

  • Develop and present classroom/student presentations in the area of student success skills.
  • Coordinate operations of Timberwolf Table in Wausau and on regional campuses including the tracking of inventory and usage.
  • Monitor budget through the NTC Foundation and complete restocking as needed.
  • Assist in programmatic support of Career Services, including resume/cover letter review, and mock interviews.

Den/Student Leadership Center Operations

  • Serve as office administrator, organizing front office operations in Den/Student Leadership Center.
  • Organize student ID production and distribution process.
  • Monitor and update Student Engagement, social media and email accounts

Minimum Qualifications Required

In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.

Education:Associate's Degree (or Equivalent)

Business, Marketing, Human Services or related fields.

Experience: 2 years

Additional Experience Information:

Event planning, student leadership and/or recreation program experience preferred.
