1St Shift - Schedule of Department
2nd & 3rd Shift - Implementation
Administers the personnel functions for the department. This includes interviewing, selection of personnel, onboarding, performance evaluations, quality of work, safety, and disciplinary action.
Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment or knows who to contact for information.
Anticipates and trouble shoots problems with jobs and/or equipment and coordinates with other departments for resolution.
Hand off with engineering / quality / logistics/
Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
Coordinates production efforts with supervisors on other shifts for smooth transition.
Attends and involved with turnover meetings (start & end of shift)
Ensures that all equipment is operational and maintained per specifications.
Monthly TPM's have been completed and delivered to Maintenance
Champion BES/Lean measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
GEMBA Board
Earned Hours Plan (Daily & Weekly 6'S with projects for each team member)
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years working in a manufacturing environment
Three plus years' experience in supervisory capacity
Excellent leadership and team skills required. Able to effectively interface at all levels of the organization
Knowledge of processes and machines related to products manufactured within a given business unit
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required
Ability to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. May work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 50F-90F degrees)
Ability to bend and to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs)
Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
