We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Vice President, Engineering Lead to join our new FinTech, Growth Ventures team.

This role is located in Lake Mary Florida

This will be a hybrid position, three days per week in the office.

What we do:

Growth Ventures is the Bank's division for managing and building data and software-led businesses, including our market-leading data and analytics business with nearly $50 trillion in financial assets under data management. Growth Ventures, building on this foundation and in partnership with other businesses including Investment Management, Asset Servicing, and Pershing, is bringing to market a new software-led, API-first solution for the alternative investment and wealth management ecosystems. The new business will leverage, connect and enhance existing strengths while also developing market-first solutions that provide a one-of-a-kind experience for partners and clients. The market being targeted is measured in trillions of dollars with revenue pools in billions, yet it is generally considered a nascent space on the precipice of growth. And while we are building from a robust foundation and position of strength, this is very much an entrepreneurial opportunity to innovate and create new products, new solutions, and a new business.

Key Role Responsibilities:

This senior role reports to the global engineering lead of the business and is accountable for building and leading a team of top-notch engineering talents at the location, to deliver the digital solutions related to alternative investment distribution.

The role encompasses:

  • Build and lead a team of engineers and responsible for all phases of the software development process
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovating, and continuous improvement
  • Promote best engineering practices to deliver software via rapid iterations and frequent releases
  • Lead the team to work with product managers and UX designers to provide input to product roadmap and define implementation strategy
  • Lead technical discussions and provide technical oversight (including code reviews) to the architecture design and development work from the team
  • Act as a hands-on engineer across the entire software stack, directly developing and maintaining software solutions
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery across all the systems at the program level
  • Ensure availability, integrity, and stability of production systems by identifying appropriate resources to manage all systems and having a process in place to respond to problems with expediency
  • Set, communicate, and ensure strict adherence to development and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
  • A minimum of 10+ years of full stack technical experience building enterprise SaaS solutions
  • 5+ years of Python/Java/Spring Boot development experience, including microservices and even-driven architecture implementation
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
  • 3+ years of test automation development using Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar. Experience with Test-Driven-Development is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in modelling with NoSQL database
  • 3+ year technical leadership and management experience
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, either Sprint or Kanban
  • Hands-on experience with release management and CICD deployment workflow processes, from development release through production deployment
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies - K8S, Azure/AWS, etc.
  • Strong technical and communication skills required

  • Knowledge and experience in financial services or fintech required
