Job Description

C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader and supplier of choice in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking an Onsite Service Technician - Engineered Products TMMWV for our location in Buffalo, West Virginia. This role is essential in maintaining our reputation for quality by installing, servicing and maintaining customer and/or dealer-owned docks, overhead doors and crane equipment.

Essential Duties:

  • Able to independently perform preventative maintenance tests, adjustments, repairs and inspections on overhead crane systems, trash compactors, conveyors, loading dock equipment and overhead doors.
  • Assembles and tests motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
  • Conduct site evaluations to ensure proper equipment selection and installation.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any installation or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in the installation and maintenance of docks, overhead doors, and overhead crane equipment.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and follow pneumatics and schematics.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and welding preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Weekend work required.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Physical capability to perform job functions, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and reaching.
