The Position:

Direct and oversee all aspects of Outside Plant Engineering and Construction programs for a specific expansion market. The position is responsible for directing multi-million dollar OSP and Construction budgets, company managers, engineering teams, construction teams, and contract firms. This includes the planning, engineering, and construction of ILEC/CLEC and Network Outside Plant facilities. This position oversees and or participates in development of various programs to achieve OSP and Construction goals of capital efficiency and installation timeframe reduction. This position will require 50% travel.

• Virtual Position: periodic travel required to sites in Virginia & North Carolina.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Direct, manage, track and prioritize budgets for capital and operating expenditures.
• Overall management of the expansion market, drive production plans and lead internal and external team to efficiency and on-time performance.
• Create and maintain partnerships with local and state municipalities. Provide recurring updates to municipalities and other local contacts.
• Oversee management of teams responsible for Railroad crossing, ROW easements, and pole/conduit providers and all construction activity.
• Industry organizations and utility interaction: DOH, DOT, Power Utilities, Telecommunication firms, Municipalities and other Government Agencies, Cable MSO's.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work
• Experience: Ten (10) years Outside Plant telecommunications experience directly related to working with OSP Engineering, and OSP Construction
• Key Competencies: Common Sense & Logical Thinking, requires a high degree of Mathematical aptitude, OSP Principals for Engineering and Construction and requires detailed knowledge of industry construction and engineering design practices, Strong Project management and negotiating skills, OSHA Regulations.
