Radiologic Technologist

Velocity Urgent Care (now solely owned by Sentara Health) is actively looking for qualified Radiologic Technologists. Performs radiologic examinations following established procedures for patient care and safety, and performs general clinical duties to ensure good patient flow.

Schedule: Clinic Hours are 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm.

Qualifications:

- Active ARRT Licensure

- Virginia State RT Licensure

-Previous experience in a fast-paced patient care setting is preferred.

-Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Job Summary

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications.

Will consider registry eligible graduate, must be registered within 90 days of hire. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Radiologic Technology (Required)

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
