Job/Internship Description

Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a Graduate Intern to support an exciting project at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) for the summer of 2024. We are looking for an intern to help develop a Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approximation (SPSA) based workflow for optimization of model parameters in a NASA Earth System Model.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate Sudent, Background in Physics and/or Earth Sciences;
  • Interest in Scientific Programming
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Good communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Numerical Methods
