Responsibilities

Peraton is currently searching for a talented Senior Software Engineer / Frontend Developer to become part of Cyber Defense organization with the Federal Strategic Cyber program.

Location: Arlington, Virginia. Hybrid role, need to be able to come on-site as needed.

In this role, you will:

    Conceive, specify, design, program, document, testing, bug fix and patching software applications as a part of a team.
  • Lead the front-end design and implementation of custom web application towards dynamic requirements.
  • Need to be in-tune with changing requests and adapt accordingly.
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
  • Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Participate in development of software user manuals.
  • May support additional areas of the application as team needs change.
  • May analyze/design databases and/or assist in architecting cloud environments within an application area, working individually or coordinating as part of a team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years. An additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years front-end developer experience including Angular/React/Vue, jQuery, JavaScript, and other CSS styling libraries.
  • Experience having built an application from scratch using Angular.
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Flask, API development, Node, Angular CLI.
  • Experience building AWS cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with DevOps tools Atlassian JIRA, Jenkins Continuous Integration, and GIT repositories.
  • Expert level experience in troubleshooting software system-related problems and mitigating software system vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with developing software with cloud security best practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Experience meeting with cyber mission customers and must be to handle a full range of duties from gathering/refining requirements through developing, testing, and deploying the resultant code.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligbility.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.

  • Special considerations will be made for candidates with strong understandings of D3.
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Ansible

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
