We're currently recruiting for aTax Manager for a stable, growing client of ours that is located in Richmond, VA.
This is a 100% remote position that is a newly created role and will report to the Director of Tax and work closely with the President of the company.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Consult with outsourced accounting clients on compliance issues and tax planning
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related questions and concerns
- Assist with tax audits and other tax-related inquiries from tax authorities
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably in a CPA firm
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
