Position Summary: To assist in the direct care and management of children, adolescent and young adult residents (age 10 to 22 years) as prescribed by the physician and treatment team; to provide supervision, safety and crisis management for the resident population; to complete documentation of resident behavior and participation in programming; to adhere to the scheduled activities; role model positive, mature behavior; utilize positive behavioral strategies to minimize resident crisis and maximize success. This position may also require personal care support for individuals with enhanced needs, particularly in the domain of their Activities of Daily Living. These may include, but are not limited to bathing, toileting, clothing, feeding, etc. the individuals that they are assigned to.

Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and units as consistently exhibit mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job.
Education: High school education required.
Experience: Six months related experience with adolescents and children or related college coursework in a related field. Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays preferred.
Licensure: Current Virginia driver's licensure with a good driving record, CPR certification, First Aid Certificate, and Crisis Management Certification preferred.
