Lead Python and Java Developer (Must Financial or Payment Processing Experience)

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Lead Python and Java Developer.

Location: McLean, VA or Richmond, VA (candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to McLean or Richmond- no remote work or relocation is feasible for this position)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using Python SQL and AWS technologies.

* Drive the integration of AWS Lambda for efficient serverless computing enhancing system performance.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality software.

* Ensure the security and reliability of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews. - Optimize existing software for improved efficiency and performance.

* Mentor junior engineers providing guidance and support to foster team growth.

* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into projects.

* Contribute to the strategic planning of the technology roadmap aligning with business goals.

* Facilitate the deployment of software solutions ensuring seamless migration and minimal downtime.

* Address and resolve technical issues providing expert advice to stakeholders.

* Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.

* Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills and domain knowledge.

Key Qualifications:

* 12+ years Proven experience in SQL AWS Python and AWS Lambda is mandatory.

* Strong understanding of the Cards & Payments domain is required.

* Experience with MySQL JavaScript Java Spring Boot and React JS is highly desirable.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

* Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.

* Commitment to continuous improvement and learning new technologies.
