Position Overview:

In this position, you'll provide direct support to program participants, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal growth. From facilitating life skills training to assisting with community outings, you'll be at the forefront of creating meaningful opportunities for those we serve. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to individuals in our programs, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Deliver First Aid, CPR, and medication administration assistance as needed, with meticulous documentation.
  • Maintain a disciplined and safe working environment, promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Act as a Mandated Reporter, safeguarding the rights and confidentiality of program individuals.
  • Develop and facilitate life skills training classes and community outings based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Provide safe transportation using company vehicles, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage individual files and documentation in compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, participate in meetings and training events, and contribute to the overall success of our programs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle basic math and follow instructions effectively.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, screenings, and required training.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Successful completion of FBI and State background investigation and drug screen.
  • Virginia Department of Social Services registry search.
  • Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services fingerprinting and background check.
  • Tuberculosis screening within 30 days of employment.
  • LEIE (Office of Inspector General) search.
  • In-house training completion within specified timeframes, including:
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Therapeutic Options Behavior Intervention Program Training
  • Medication Administration Assistance Training
  • Mental Health First Aid Training
