Overview

Goldbelt Nighthawk designs develops and implements comprehensive solutions for problem spaces including computer security, Cloud implementations and migration, scalable architectures, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and network/data center operations. Specializing in incident response at the local and enterprise-wide levels as well as forensic analysis, our personnel deliver threat analysis and reporting while implementing solutions based on mature planning and development practices.

Summary:

This position is the primary role for the sustainment of C5ISR equipment on Army Vessels. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will lead projects from conception to completion, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Lead the design and development of complex electronic systems.
  • Oversee the prototyping and testing of electronic circuits and systems, utilizing advanced testing methodologies and equipment to validate designs and identify areas for optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges early in the development process, implementing robust mitigation strategies to ensure project success and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and firmware engineers, as well as other stakeholders, to integrate electronic systems seamlessly into overall product architecture and functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and compliance reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in electronic engineering technologies and methodologies, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must have overall system level expertise pertaining to the C5ISR assets installed on Army Vessels/Platforms.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with the following:
    • Radar
    • NSS EVO 3S MFD
    • NSO EVO3S MFD
    • GO Series MFD
    • MX 512 / 612 DGPS
    • SAAB R4-R5 AIS installation and programming
    • Skipper speed log Installation and Maintenance
    • Communications:
      • GMDSS (Sailor 4000/5000/6000)
      • AN/PRC-117G
      • AN/PRC-160
      • DTCS Radio Only Alpha (ROA) System
      • JBC-P System
      • JCR-LOG
      • Link-16 System
      • Next Generation Network
      • Pierside Connectivity/Intranet System
      • Intellian V-Series Satellite Antenna Installation and Repair

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an engineering or technical degree with 4 years' experience working with at least 3 of the following: Radars, satellite comminution systems, integrated bridge systems, C5ISR equipment, and GMDSS.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics can be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Must maintain secret security clearance and passport. Must service Army Watercraft World in locations worldwide.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience with all or most of the following systems:

    NAVSEA Electrical/Electronic connector fabrication & cableway

    Raytheon Anschutz

    Standard 20 / 22 Gyro repair and maintenance

    NSC ECDIS Installation and Maintenance

    NSX Radar / Synapsis IBS System Installation and Maintenance.

    Ship Steering Systems

    Advanced steering 1

    Advance Steering II

    IBS Integration, Radar ECDIS, Autopilot, Synapsis

    Sperry Marine

    Vision-Master radar and ECDIS installation and service

    Gyrocompass, Speed-Log, Autopilot, Echo Sounder installation and service

    VDR / Danalec VDR Installation and Maintenance

    GMDSS and Radio / ABS inspection and certification qualified inspector

    NAVICO / SIMRAD
