In this position, you will provide general administrative support to our Electrification Installation Products division President, and secretarial assistance to Installation Products Senior Leadership Team. You will act as a point of contact for enquiries, providing solutions for those within your scope, and escalating those that require it. You will be instrumental in the smooth running of administrative processes and procedures within the business, grading the urgency of issues, while providing confidential assistance to the management team. This role will need to be able to work an in-person schedule in our Memphis, TN office.

This is a position with global grade

Your responsibilities

  • Perform complex administrative activities and take responsibility for delivering specific department processes/programs
  • Compile and issue special reports, presentations, organization charts, correspondence, etc
  • Responsible for different communication tasks within the area of responsibility, ensuring knowledge and information is shared and keeping others up to date
  • Implement ABB processes and initiate continuous improvement of administrative processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Act as point of contact for internal/external enquiries, initiate action and make judgments about urgency of issues. Provide confidential support to individual executives and/or management team members
  • Arrange business critical internal/external events, including example travel arrangements, itineraries, accommodation, conference registration, visiting speakers etc. Sales-specific events include: Process payment for approximately 30 storage units each month via P-card and submit expense report to clear charges, Manage TEAMS sites for Sales Leader
  • Maintain contact list for ELIP sales (used for communications)
  • Provide financial support on a department/project level, monitoring budget spend, raising and approving requisitions/invoices, handling P-card expenditures, processing/submitting manager's expense report
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a similar field Business Administration or related field preferred, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • With 3 to 5 years of experience in an administrative or assistant role; Experience supporting senior leaders in a global organization is highly preferred
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask, with excellent planning skills
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor, along with a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to edit and refine documents/ communications is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams is essential
  • Track record of work in fast paced and dynamic business environment; Curiosity, a commitment to follow through and excellent problem solving skills are essential to success
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
