Who we are looking for

We are currently seeking a Technical Delivery Manager(Appian) for a full-time position remotely, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for a Technical Delivery Manager(Appian) who is ready to assume leadership responsibilities in a supportive team environment that is focused on your success as a function of client success.

What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:

• Working closely with clients, product owners and stakeholders to scope, design and implement software solutions that meet our client's expectations and business needs.
• Responsible for overall project management of contracts. - Plan, lead, manage resources and deliver on-time solutions following an agile methodology and develop software solutions as a member of a software delivery team.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other team members to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations. --Act as a coach and a mentor and people manager - Onboard/ offboard/ conduct perform reviews for team members
• Design and build BPM applications and provide expertise in Appian's project management methodology, BPM program management.

What we would like to see on your resume/ Required Skills

• At least 7 years working on software development engagements along with Appian.
• 2 or more years leading & managing software development teams implementing Appian.
• Strong knowledge and previous experience in database, system integration, JIRA and agile development methodologies.
• Experience in designing and developing Appian applications with a focus on process models, user interfaces, and integrations.
• Previous experience with Java related technologies to perform plugin development/ maintenance.
• Mentoring and Leadership skills

What will make you stand out as a candidate

• Strong communication
• Certification: Appian Level 3 certification. Preferred Knowledge in AWS.
• Strong experience with SAIL, Process modeler, SQL, Integration and Web APIs.
• Translate business needs into Appian solution - Understand the strategy, organization and skills needed to operate a successful Business Process Management Program.
• Expertise in Enterprise Roadmap planning, organizational change management, and continuous process improvement.
• Has experience creating process-based applications using Appian's Business Process Management Suite which brings efficiency to human-centric business processes. Draw on a variety of technical expertise including process modeling, user interface design and data modeling.
• Work directly with end users to ensure that the functionality of an application meets their requirements.
• Evaluate current and develop new standard processes for Horizon's Software Development Methodology.

What specifically this role requires

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering, engineering, computer science, etc.

Salary Range: There are various factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $160,000-$180,000

Location : Horizon is headquartered in the heart of Tyson's Corner, VA. Occasional travel may be required.
