Summary Description of Position

Individual provides internal control, plant IT and accounting process support services to plant sites, including developing and updating policies and procedures, training plant administrators, performing plant audits, and conducting theft and business conduct issues to ensure that sites are following all proper Company and Division's policies and practices.

Essential Functions

* In cooperation with plant management, hire and train plant administrative personnel including plant administrators and scale clerks/dispatchers;

* Develop and maintain a comprehensive policies and procedures manual for plant personnel to ensure that proper internal controls are in place, and that timely and accurate information is generated for other accounting purposes;

* Develop on-going training programs for plant office administrators and scale clerks;

* Have "dotted-line" supervisory authority over plant office administrators;

* Provide input into performance appraisals and disciplinary actions, if needed for administrative personnel;

* Perform audits of compliance periodically and take corrective action as necessary. Report significant deficiencies to the VP of Finance and Director of Internal Audit;

* Supervise the work of subordinates in performance of the above-mentioned responsibilities

* Other duties may be assigned as required.

Other Requirements

Will require travel throughout the Division's geographic footprint (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina)

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills Required

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years prior work experience. At least 5 years in management preferred. Management in finance or accounting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices including internal controls and operations and processes for all lines of business

* Excellent interpersonal and business planning skills

* Excellent people management and supervisory experience

* Able to solve complex business problems with practical solutions

* Able to travel for extended periods of time

* Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology.

* Strong knowledge of computer processes and system applications
