DESCRIPTION: The Acquisition Logistics Analyst supports the Team Lead, Air & Amphibious Systems, Product Manager, Infantry Weapons, Program Manager, Ground Weapons Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Support Limited User Evaluations (LUE), test events, TM validation and verification efforts, kitting of equipment, equipment inventories, fielding and NET activities.
  • Support program test and evaluation events to include (but not limited to): Limited User Evaluations, Performance Verification Testing, Bid Sample Testing, First Article Testing, Technical Manual Validation and Verification, developmental test events and operational tests, as required.
  • Draft life cycle logistics documentation in support of program milestones and other program events. Documents include: Intent to Field Messages, Fielding Plans, Distribution Messages, Life Cycle Support Plans and/or logistics input for Simplified Acquisition Management Plans (SAMP), Disposal Plans, Logistics Requirement Funding Summaries (LRFS), Warranties, Facility Impact Reports, Condition Based Maintenance Plus Reports and document coordination for Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs).
  • Deliver New Equipment Training (NET), student evaluation, and sustainment training to Marine Corps personnel at Major Subordinate Commands and at Reserve units.
  • Draft and edit Stock Lists (SL-3), Technical Manuals (TM), Technical Instruction (TI), Modification Instructions (MI)'s, Supply Instructions (SI), cover letters for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) manuals, and other Technical Publications for Government review.
  • Provide technical support for Marine Corps specific supply operations and activities to include Management Control Activity (MCA) reporting requirements. Enact enterprise level wholesale and retail stores supply reporting and analysis activities utilizing informational and reporting resources to include but not limited to: Global Combat Support System- Marine Corps (GCSS-MC); Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS); Federal Logistics Record System (FEDLOG); Military Unique Sustainment Technology (SHALL); Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS); Web Federal Logistic Information System (WebFLIS).
  • Conduct maintenance analysis and support equipment readiness reviews using the Total Life Cycle Management Operational Support Tool (TLCM-OST).
  • Participate and support Fielding, Training and Recovery of replaced equipment as needed, including attending Fielding Conferences.
  • Coordinate the activities to develop, analyze, and tracks program deliverables.
  • Follow established procedures and provides creative input on new approaches and courses of action to fulfill project goals.
  • Review the work of lower level personnel.
  • Mentor and provides training and guidance to lower level personnel.
  • Obtain and maintain any security clearances, status or licenses required by client to perform work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of DoD Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures including DoD 5000 series and service-specific guidance.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Must be able to research, analyze, and evaluate information to provide multiple courses of action.
  • Must be able to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS a business, engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience, 4 of which must be in or in support of a program management office.
  • Expertise in DoD Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures including DoD 5000.1/2 and service-specific guidance.
  • Experience working with the Federal Government.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in both a professional office environment and a field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as military equipment. While normally office working environment, Test support may require extended periods outside under adverse climatic conditions.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position has both sedentary and physically active aspects. The sedentary work requires the following physical activities: reaching, sifting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
