Life Cycle Manager
Purpose:
  • ACT a department of Valkyrie Enterprises is hiring for a Life Cycle Manger in Norfolk, VA.
  • In this role you will get to lead the systems deployment and logistics management team under the contract and provide expert advice in the preparation, deployment, and sustainment of systems for a high performing/high tempo Air Force Weapon System Program.
Job Description:
  • Gather and analyze data on product plans and program objectives.
  • Provide tracking, status reports, and logistics plans to support and ensure distribution and delivery commitments for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems.
  • Develop policies, guidelines, and procedures to prevent or limit the impact of diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).
  • Can interpret engineering drawings (Level II and III)
  • Assist engineers, technicians, and AF personnel by gathering, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting material obsolescence data to support decisions that impact the Weapon System.
  • Conduct analysis of material / system upgrades utilizing historical data to ensure DMSMS related cost, schedule, readiness, and availability impacts do not exceed an acceptable level.
  • Lead team in defining DMSMS support metrics to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and return on investment.
  • Participate in supportability assessment working groups for new and modified systems to include analysis description, APL comparison and maintenance support.
  • Assist in the evaluation of WS3 RAFL SLEP system design and redesign for potential DMSMS issues during system lifecycle.
  • Examine the potential effects that a DMSMS issue may have at any level of the WS3 RAFL SLEP System.
  • Coordinate the execution of the DMSMS Management Team (DMT) processes.
  • Assess obsolescence forecasts, process business case analyses, prepare budget forecasts, and present resolution options to the DMT for discussion and concurrence.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the DMSMS Management Program and recommend ways to continually improve.
Qualifications:
  • Must have 8 years of experience in major systems deployment or logistics for DoD.
  • Must have a Bachelor's in Business, Management Sciences, or a related field.
  • Must have a Certification in Logistics Management or Certified Professional in Supply Management or Certified in Production and Inventory Management or Certified Supply Chain Professional.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of MILSTD engineering (mechanical or electrical), preferred.
  • Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization, preferred.
Security Requirements:
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional Travel- less than 10%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).

Pay Range: $30.00 - $38.46 per hour
