The Program Manager of Community Benefit supports the management of all aspects of VCU Health System's Community Benefit Strategy including but not limited to, Community Health Needs Assessments and Implementation Strategies, the Community Health Partnership Fund, and Community Benefit Reporting. The Program Manager identifies and implements best practices related to advancing health equity through community partnerships.
Essential Job Functions:
Supports hospital leadership teams in the development of Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA)
Manages, tracks, and reports all hospital Community Health Implementation Plan (CHIP) initiatives
Manages Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) including implementation of enterprise strategies and guidelines for community benefit reporting
Identifies and develops evidence-based strategies and best practices for the deployment, management, reporting, and growth of community benefit dollars Coordinates Community Health Partnership Fund application processes including outcome tracking and impact reporting
Partners with Enterprise Marketing to align Community Benefit and Sponsorship initiatives
Supports the development and expansion of strategic partnerships to address Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN)
Reviews and reports on national and local trends in health policy and community investments
Builds and maintains strong resident and community stakeholder relationships

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in planning, development, and administration of health social services within a healthcare, environment or programs at local community, county or state level to include Minimum of two (2) years' experience in developing and supporting, collaborative partnerships both internal and external related to the, health of communities or 2 yrs. experience in community outreach, Social, Determinants of Health (SDoH) related need identification and resource, allocation.
Ability to manage resources and coordinate across areas and cross functionally.
Demonstrates participatory style, high energy, and a bias for action, with excellent judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to facilitate groups effectively.
Ability to analyze reports and use data to drive, performance results.
Passion for improving the lives of under privileged individuals, and families
Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with community organizations and organization leaders
Experience PREFERRED:
Experience with case management in the clinical environment and/or the management of chronic conditions.
Experience with oversight of budget and fiscal management
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, public policy or related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
