The Feeding Technician provides services to patients as outlined by the primary therapist to support the plan of care for infants and toddlers who have feeding disorders.
The Feeding Technician provides hands-on care as well as other activities needed to feed; collects behavioral data; and maintain an organized, clean and safe treatment environment.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A

CPR certification
Experience REQUIRED:
Previous experience using computers and Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level
Must have knowledge of developmental stages of infants and adolescents and understanding of behavioral principles of positive reinforcement
Experience PREFERRED:
Previous work experience with pediatric patients
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 24 hours of coursework in early childhood education or related field (i.e. Child Psychology, Children's Literature)

Independent action(s) required:
Carries out treatment protocol with therapist, providing proscribed foods, prepared for patient acceptance utilizing the behavioral plan.
Observes patient response, documents data to be collected.
Provides patient supervision and child care for those clients in the Day Program.
Provides information to parents/caregivers that support the acquisition of parenting techniques and treatment carryover.
Ensures appropriate levels of supplies and food are available on a daily basis, prepares food to order, and maintains a clean and safe environment for patient care.
Collects charge information from the therapist, ordering and stocking supplies and equipment, entering data into spreadsheets and other miscellaneous clerical functions.
