Defense Acquisition Analyst, Senior

As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country's defense acquisition and contract process.

You will provide a Navy client with legislative and Congressional support throughout the annual Defense Authorization and Appropriations process. You'll leverage existing Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) systems and databases to coordinate, track, report, and make appropriate analysis and recommendations to support government decisions on requirements, milestones, and progress. You'll provide analysis to support the development and implementation of Navy and Marine Corps strategy and policy.

You'll provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project's success. From creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you'll deliver meaningful acquisition support.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Experience with regular direct client interactions, including supporting project delivery, delivering presentations, leading client meetings, and working independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Navy staff or Defense, Joint Staff, Program Executive Office, or Combatant Command (COCOM) staff
  • Knowledge of DoD and DoN acquisition policies, especially those relating to Defense Business Systems and the Software Pathway and their governing policies, including DoDI 5000.75, DoDI 5000.87, and SECNAVINST 5000.2g
  • Knowledge of program management, including DoD scheduling and risk management practices
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Knowledge Management practices, including use of Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), and the ASN RD&A Information System (RDAIS)
  • Experience with the Navy Correspondence Manual and supporting the preparation, drafting, or updating of DoN or DoD policies
  • Experience with Congressional or legislative affairs and the Congressional Authorization and Appropriations process, the DoD legislative process, including program objective memorandum (POM) preparation, Budget Estimate Submissions (BES), Budget Exhibit preparation, and working around senior Congressional staff and DoD or Navy officials
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI and Project Online

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
