We are seeking a reliable and vigilant individual to join our team as an Overnight Garage Monitor for a residential building in Washington DC. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the security of the garage area, allowing only authorized residents to enter and promptly alerting authorities if unauthorized individuals attempt to access the premises.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor the garage entrance and ensure that only authorized residents with proper identification are permitted to enter.
* Maintain a vigilant presence throughout the shift to deter unauthorized access.
* Promptly contact authorities if non-permitted individuals attempt to enter the garage or if any suspicious activity is observed.
* Keep accurate records of any incidents or security breaches that occur during the shift.
* Communicate effectively with building management and other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to security.
Requirements:
* Must have a reliable vehicle for personal transportation throughout the shift.
* Availability for overnight shifts ranging from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
* Ability to stay awake and alert throughout the entire shift.
* Preferred residency in Washington DC or close proximity to the area.
* Excellent reliability and punctuality.
* Strong communication and observation skills.
* Ability to remain calm and composed in potentially stressful situations.
Salary: $35.00 per hour
