We are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to help us by executing on Trex's digital vision to unify, democratize, automate, and transform data and processes across the organization. You will be involved with translating business requirements, technology selection, design, build, test, deployment, support, and documentation of Trex's digital ecosystem. As a Trex Business Intelligence Manager, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to search for ways to improve existing technology and process and to innovate and incorporate emerging technologies around data/analytics, AI/ML, automation, integration, collaboration and more throughout the organization. This role is a key member of our Information Technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Put safety first - always.
  • Lead and foster our "people first" culture.
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of IT's data ecosystem capability roadmap.
  • Build, lead and inspire a team of top performing automation and data analytics experts.
  • Engage with cross functional partners to define and drive Trex's digital and automation roadmap.
  • Work closely with our infrastructure and enterprise teams to define and evolve the underlying systems that support our analytics and automation strategy.
  • Drive the ongoing evolution of our data ecosystem solutioning.
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise class user interface software to power our digital products.
  • Create and deploy data services and applications for internal and external consumers of data.
  • Lead the support for all the digital products and their applications.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities for Trex.
  • Create, publish, and maintain documented best practices and protocols for highly complex architectures within the BI framework.

Direct Reports: 4-5 direct reports.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or related field of study and 5-10 years of experience in a business intelligence role during which both professional and management capabilities have been demonstrated.

An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and skills:

  • Deep understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, primarily Agile.
  • A solid understanding of data security and privacy technologies and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of data analysis and visualization and modeling tools.
  • Experience with the Microsoft BI Stack and visualization tools such as PowerBI, QLIK, Tableau.
  • Experience with the MS Power Platform (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
  • Experience developing BI and automation solutions to drive business value.
  • Experience with Cloud environments such as AWS, AZURE, private and hybrid.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies.
  • Experience with RPA tools and processes.
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry and knowledge of factory control systems (HMI, PLC, SCADA, Data Historian) is a plus.
