Job Description
Procurement Specialist needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Springfield, VA.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required!

Responsibilities
- Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and supply-base diversity and cost management; supplier relationship management; supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFAR Business System (Purchasing) compliance, and supplier-contract risk management. Impact:
- Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.
- Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
- Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
- May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
- Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases.
- Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
- Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
- Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
- Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning
- Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
- Manages production and delivery schedules
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - we will not sponsor!
- Typically requires a BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
