Sentara Health is currently hiring a part-time, Radiology Services Coordinatorto support The McLeskey Comprehensive Breast Center, part of Sentara Leigh Hospital, in Norfolk, VA.

Department Overview:

The McLeskey Comprehensive Breast Center is among an elite group designated as an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. After rigorous evaluation, our center is NAPBC accredited in the three major areas of breast imaging and cancer detection: mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided biopsy. In this role you will:

  • Responsible for the order entry process, communication and guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis

  • Responsible for transporting, lifting, positioning of patients, and various non-technical/clerical duties

  • Demonstrates competency in the operation of radiologic systems for the management and transfer of digital images to complex media and converting images on film to digital formats

Job Requirements:

  • Education:High School Grad or Equivalent

  • Experience: Medical Assistants and Medical Administrative Assistants will be considered with a minimum of 3 years experience in a medical environment preferred.
