Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors. The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the accounting team to maintain financial records and contribute to the smooth operation of the accounts payable process.

This role is onsite in our Sterling, VA office - 5 days a week.

Responsibilities
    Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
  • Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
