Sentara Rockingham Memorial is hiring a Full Time, Registered Nurse in our Main OR/General Surgery OR- this is a full time position with day shift hours and a rotating on call requirement that includes nights and weekends. Primary shift times are either 0645-1515 or 0645-1915.

Monday-Thursday

2PM-3PM EST

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• Registered Nurse License
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License

• Candidates who have completed a PeriOp 101 program.
• Candidates who have previous Operating Room Experience

All nurses changing specialties or new graduates will be required to attend our PeriOp 101 cohort.

Sentara RMH offers the following transition-to-practice programs to all new graduates. All new graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in a transition-to-practice program when hired.

Clinical Ladder Program

Nurses start at Level I and automatically advance to Level II after one year. The ladder progresses up to Level V. Financial incentives are provided to nurses at each level and for maintenance within levels.The clinical ladder levels reflect four nursing competencies: clinical practice, education, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
