Loudoun County Family Services is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and established professional candidate to lead a Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigations and Family Assessments (I&A) team that primarily works scheduled times during the day, evenings, overnight, weekends, and designated holidays as required. Core work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including rotating on-call shifts to receive and validate referrals from 5 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. or respond to emergency family situations, as required.
This team will consist of five (5) Family Services Specialists, one (1) CPS Case Aide, and one (1) Senior Family Services Specialist. The successful candidate will be a part of a diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being. The Department supports individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination.
The CPS Program Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision and professional leadership to a dynamic team responding to the needs of our most vulnerable children and families. The selected candidate will oversee cases involving protective services to children and families, assuring that complaints, investigations, and assessments are managed according to federal, state, and local policies, including completeness and timeliness. This position requires the individual to maintain a supportive work environment, with the ability to inspire and encourage productivity and teamwork amongst staff. Work is performed in a forward-thinking organization that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
The successful candidate will:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology (master's degree preferred), or a related field; four (4) years of experience to include one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
