The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SSAG has a need for a Program Analyst, Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities

In this role, the Chief of Staff will support the SLCM-N Program Management Team and program office charged with the planning, management, development and coordination for the newly established Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) which is in the early stages of development as a Major Defense Acquisition Program. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities; executive level meeting facilitation and briefing preparations; developing and implementing office and organizational administrative policies and procedures; analyzing processes and workflows, formulating process improvement recommendations, to ensure a smooth operation of the office; collaborating directly with the PM, DPM, Project area leads for the SLCM-N program and coordinating with Director, Navy Strategic Systems Programs front office staff to determine and prioritize objectives. There may be opportunities for periodic trips outside of the DC area to support customer meetings. The work location will be at SPA HQ and at the Client Site on the Washington Navy Yard.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, D.C. Pay Transparency Range: $140-$180k.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    15+ years of administrative or programmatic experience supporting a DoD program office.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and analytical skills and the willingness to learn and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic planning and coordination to senior executives.
  • Experience within a Navy flag front office.
  • Current DoD SECRET clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with US Navy submarine operations.
  • Experience supporting a NAVSEA, NAVAIR, or Navy SSP acquisition program office.
  • Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes.
