Job Description
Reingold, a full-service marketing and communications firm, is hiring a creative and resourceful web content strategist.
Can you lead conversations defining lofty content goals one day, and deep dive into a 1,000+ page site migration the next? If so, we want to hear from you.
Help us shape the online experience of high-profile initiatives for our clients, including the National Football League and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The web content strategist will work full time as part of a team of user experience (UX), web design, development, and search engine optimization professionals. The position serves an integral function in meeting user needs and achieving business goals for a variety of clients.
Here's what you would do:
- Determine and carry out research activities, including user and stakeholder interviews, content-focused usability testing, and competitive analyses.
- Complete content audits that involve understanding existing content sources and defining content gaps.
- Review web analytics and other inputs to identify needed content improvements.
- Plan and lead workshops to define and prioritize web content needs.
- Create content strategy deliverables, such as content outlines, gap analyses, and governance documentation, that provide a basis for web content development.
- Build and maintain content migration plans.
- Help manage content development, maintenance, and optimization processes.
- Complete content modeling and taxonomy design activities.
- Be an advocate for plain language that helps guide users to what they need.
- Outline web pages and work closely with writers by lending a hand in the writing process when needed.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least four years' working experience, ideally in web content strategy or its related disciplines, like content design. If your experience is in a different field, but you can explain how your skills can transfer to web content strategy, we'd still like to hear from you.
- Familiarity with writing for the web, UX design, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and effective decision making.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, managing complex and simultaneous projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly convey information to upper management and clients.
- Familiarity with tools like Content Workflow, Miro, and Airtable are a plus, though not required.
