What does the Custodial-Floor Supervisor do?

The Supervisor is responsible for performing custodial duties, floor projects, supervision of custodial crew(s), scheduling of custodial crew(s), minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. The Supervisor reports to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager and cares for the facilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises custodial and floor tech employees in various locations throughout the building
  • Uses customer service skills, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public
  • Responsible for organizing, planning, directing, staffing, and controlling the operations of the facility
  • Responsible for maintaining the goals, standards, and objectives of the facility as well as obtaining and maintaining the goals, standards, and objectives of the company
  • Coordinates work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of the maintenance and care of the buildings and offices
  • Coordinates workflow charts on the project to meet short- and long-term goals
  • Oversee the ordering of inventory for the facility
  • Supervision of custodial and floor tech employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all locations, CW Resources Inc. is responsible for the inside of the building
  • Completing annual evaluations on custodial and floor tech employees
  • Trains supervises and evaluates assigned custodial and floor tech staff
  • Trains staff in proper chemical and equipment usage and maintenance
  • Responsible for the security of designated locations
  • Supervision of custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all locations CWR is responsible for inside the building
  • Reprimanding custodial and floor tech employees when necessary
  • Completing annual evaluations on custodial and floor tech employees
  • Opens and closes, locks and unlocks facilities as needed
  • Keeps records of work completed
  • Responsible for the collection of recycling bins located throughout the facility and distributed to the recycling center
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of this position
  • Performs custodial duties
  • Performs other duties as needed
  • Must be able to supervise large teams
  • Must be able to ensure that all duties are performed correctly by the team, and if they are not then the supervisor is responsible for completing the task
  • Must work to ensure that all policies and processes are being followed
  • Must be able to fill out all proper paperwork
  • Must be able to properly work all machinery and equipment

Education
High School (required)

Experience
2 years: Working in a related field and supervising 20+ personnel (preferred)
2 years: Supervisory experience in a related field (preferred)
Floor Tech experience (preferred)
