What you'll do:

  • Monitor and assist with road building, reclamation or forestry activities associated with new construction.
  • Assist in problem analysis and development of compliance strategies with limited direct supervision or direction.
  • Assist in the development of and conducting environmental compliance training.
  • Assist in inspecting, provides advice on operations, construction, procedures, records and training to ensure compliance with environment/agricultural requirements prescribed in laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Job Duties
  • Love of the outdoors and the ability to work independently while hiking rugged terrain and in inclement weather.
  • Ability to read and follow GIS data and maps; ability to work independently.
  • Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority.
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with the public.
  • A background in the electric transmission construction, pipeline, utility field.
  • Flexibility to travel 3 or more nights per week
  • Valid Driver's License with clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle.
  • Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.
  • Four (4) year degree in Environmental Science, or Construction Management, or two (2) year A.S. degree in Environmental Science plus one (1) year relevant experience, or eight (8) years relevant experience.
Desirable skills include:
  • Erosion and Sedimentation Inspector Certification with DEQ.
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) book knowledge.
  • Previous construction crew oversight experience.
  • GIS Experience.
  • Strong knowledge ANSI Z133 safety standards.
