Position Overview:
As a Health Record & Info Tech with Sentara, you will account and prepare all documents for precision scanning into the electronic medical record with strict attention to maintain patient confidentiality guidelines for safeguarding patient medical information. Required to work within many different computer environments to track, scan, identify, validate, and access medical records. You will be responsible for maintaining data and statistics to support activities.
We are looking for an individual who is dependable and reliable. Has critical thinking skills, pays close attention to detail, is team-oriented and works well independently.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Required:
One year experience in medical records data
*Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management training program can be substituted for one year of medical records data job experience.
Experience Preferred:
Medical Terminology
EPIC and OnBase
Skills Required:
Critical Thinking, Communication, Active Listening, Mathematics, Monitoring, Reading Comprehension, Speaking and Writing.
