About the Role

The Commercial Strategy Promotion Senior Analyst will be primarily responsible for translating company strategy into the trade investment strategy. This role will assess complex promotional models and translate findings into recommendations and action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create & drive well-defined promotion processes/routines across the key elements of trade management, aligned to AOP, Strat Plan and customer calendars.
  • Assist in building out tools and mapping out standardized processes & ways of working, methodologies, insights and systems capabilities associated with pricing, promotion and mix.
  • Support analytics related initiatives by engaging in robust data preparation, verification, troubleshooting, error tracking, user acceptance testing and best practice data management.
  • Assess to identify & Improve return on Trade Investment via Promotion Funding, Frequency & Depth optimization recommendations by understanding key promo KPIs and Shopper metrics.
  • Determine proposed direction of promotion investment (e.g., increase vs. keep vs. reduce) for category based on historical ROI and relative spend versus competition.
  • Support the teams in making promotion guidelines by category / customer and historical ROI analysis results (by customer).

About You

  • Experience working on transformation projects, demonstrated competency in improving efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Post-secondary education, ideally with an emphasis on at least one of the following: finance, business, commerce, and/or accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen that enable decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and sell recommendations internally.
  • Strong Excel or other data processing software skills.
  • Basic understanding of database processes like filtering, aggregation and joining.
