What you will be doing

Cencora is shaping the future of healthcare by providing digital solutions that enable better access to medical care for humans and animals. We are looking for a passionate, and innovative Senior User Experience Researcher to join our growing Intelligence & Insights Practice.

We're seeking a highly collaborative, thoughtful, and creative Senior UX Researcher to conduct end-to-end research, identify key insights, and drive business and product strategy. Working closely with the members of the Experience Research and Design (ExRD) Team, you will focus on developing a deep understanding our customers and delivering insights across the global enterprise.

This role will provide the unique opportunity to help guide product and business strategy for a Fortune 500 company. This environment calls for someone who is an advocate of best practices in research design and execution, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships across the organization.

This role is remote. If you are located close to Cencora's Headquarters in Conshohocken, PA there may be an opportunity to work on-site periodically, if desired.

  • Effectively work with senior level stakeholders to understand their research goals and objectives and design a UX research strategy that supports these objectives.

  • Identify future opportunities to drive value for our customers.

  • Create, scope, and execute research plans, build discussion guides, gather qualitative and quantitative data, analyze, document, and present findings.

  • Collaborate closely with internal partners and external agencies to conduct research activities.

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity, and scope.

  • Develop clear, strategic direction for research in ambiguous product spaces.

  • Generate and communicate results, crafted for the intended audience.

About you:

  • You are a strong collaborator across multiple teams and throughout large enterprises to advocate and constantly evolve design and research processes to drive innovation.

  • You possess deep experience applying a wide array of user experience research methods and tools.

  • You are an expert communicator who builds strong relationships and partnerships.

  • You are creative in seeing the bigger picture, identifying key gaps, and solutioning to fill those gaps.

  • You are able to adapt or develop processes, tools, and approaches to improve the research function.

  • You are comfortable presenting complex findings and insights to a senior level audience.

    What your background should look like

    • Master's Degree in integrated design and management, system design and management, human-centered design and engineering, industrial and/or organizational psychology, or relevant field

    • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience executing and applying research to guide innovation strategy, product development and customer experience design

    • Experience innovating within B2B and B2C environments, including but not exclusively within healthcare

    • Track record of designing solutions and customer experiences where technology, data, and services are integrated

    • Experience driving commercial results by applying human-centered design thinking to create innovative products/services with intentional customer experiences

    • Experience working with Agile development processes and in partnership with UX teams

    • Working knowledge of digital product design practices and principles including familiarity with wireframing, design and prototype tools like Axure, Balsamiq, Flinto, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and command of technologies (web, Android, iOS, etc.).

    • Expert level understanding and application of effective Innovation Strategy practices, trends, techniques, and processes

    • Analytical mindset and creativity balances detailed problem solving with 'big picture' strategic view

    • Makes sound judgements to balance research rigor with tight deadlines and ambiguous circumstances, particularly when evaluating risk (one-way vs. two-way doors)

    • Prioritizes/re-prioritizes effectively within a dynamic environment

    • Carries out multiple simultaneous research streams within a fast paced and results-oriented environment

    • Quickly translates words/ideas into visuals that stimulate further ideation and drive action

    • Challenges assumptions, explores multiple perspectives, works through problems, and resolves ambiguity with a collaborative style

    • Excellent presentation, communication and interviewing skills with diverse audiences

    • Resourceful and adapts easily to change

    • Passion for design, exploration, creativity and learning

    • Thought leader and Change Agent willing to challenge norms and grow peers' thinking

    • Continuous improvement mindset

    • Team orientation; thrives working in a matrix operating model that requires collaboration and shared decision-making amongst Solution Leads, Sales, User Design, IT, Finance, Strategy, Legal, Marketing, and other functions
