Dispatch drivers to various customers and internal sites as required to deliver our explosive products.

What You'll Do

In this role you will dispatch interstate bulk drivers to various customers and internal sites as required to deliver our explosive products. You will be responsible for trip scheduling and driver communication regarding the schedule and routes of drivers.Other duties will include:

  • Communicating with customers about product details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests
  • Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed
  • Preparing dispatch documents as well as generating invoices and bills
  • Maintaining records of dispatched calls, delivery routes, route changes, as well as delivery times
  • Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers are in compliance
  • Reviewing driver logs including dispatched calls and arrival times
  • Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules
  • Logging customer shipping schedules and complaints

What We're Looking For:

  • Class A License, with 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry
  • Hazmat endorsement or ability to get it (Preferred knowledge and experience with Hazmat)
  • Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS)
  • Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
  • Extensive experience in customer service, as well as generating freight bills and invoices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
