Valiant is seeking a Training Instructor (TI) who will be responsible for coordinating the training requirements for all Sponsor personnel as well as developing and maintaining the program for Sponsor interns, new staff entering for duty, existing personnel and those rotating through multiple positions. The TI shall be able to incorporate worldwide experience within the Mechanical discipline into the training being presented.


  • Create training experiences for both classroom and scenario-based learning experiences that reflect knowledge of adult education principles and appropriate subject matter expertise, incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and have measurable learning objectives.
  • Develop course documentation (lesson plans, handouts, instructor notes) and design evaluation instruments to assess the knowledge and skills acquired by participants. * Provide a training plan prior to all training for Sponsor review and approval.
  • Deliver training using a variety of instructional strategies, presentation and elicitation techniques to engage students in the learning process.
  • Facilitate group activities and use various classroom and tradecraft management techniques to ensure the needs of a diverse student population are met.
  • The TI shall provide Mechanical SME instruction on two or more disciplines, which can complement but not overlap, from the list as follows: * Woodworking * Metal Machining * Precision Sheet Metal * Welding * Textiles Manufacturing * Additive Manufacturing * Mold Making * Scenic Finishing * Composite Manufacturing
  • Provide all necessary support for a successful training course to include locations, instructors and all related training materials and documentation.
  • Assist any training support personnel with classroom setup, ordering supplies, scheduling classes, and planning for future course needs.
  • Coordinate with the Training Administrator that proper training facilities are reserved.
  • Provide post-training report to the Sponsor to include information on the effectiveness of the course as presented and any modifications needed.
  • Provide documented feedback of student achievement after completion of each course running.
  • Assist with test equipment training as directed by Sponsor.
  • Operating Government and CAP owned vehicles as needed.
  • Apply and follow regulations concerning the handling and management of assets and materials.
  • Folly and apply SOP for TAM.
  • CONUS and OCONUS TDY travel may be required.
  • A Top Secret//SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
