Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Supervisor, Accounts Payable

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Norfolk, Virginia

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily supervision and operational review of the corporate accounts payable functions.

Performs a variety of complex, administrative tasks in support of the goals and initiatives in the department.

• This position is also responsible for the integration of accurate information into the financial statements and 1099 reporting to the IRS.
• Develops and maintains appropriate policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls and safeguarding of company assets.
• Provides continued support to upper management on projects and assignments and ensures customer service levels are maintained continually.
• This position interacts frequently with suppliers, team members, and other internal resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Five years Accounts Payable Experience
• Previous Supervisory experience ( 1 year min preferred)
• Adept at utilizing business system software required and experience with electronic invoicing preferred.
