LMI seeks a Senior Acquisition Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

You will be instrumental in advising senior MDA acquisition leaders on major program acquisition strategy with an eye toward improving the probability of achieving cost, schedule and performance objectives. You will apply modern processes and practices aligned with emerging technologies for maximum agility and efficiency to accommodate dynamic MDA operational requirements. Your interdisciplinary IPT will adapt to changing environments and end user demands, providing a comprehensive perspective on risk and mission objectives for effective avoidance of risk and cost.

You will review and develop artifacts required by the DoD 5000.02 to support senior leader decisions. Representative responsibilities:

    Analyze the performance of current MDA acquisition programs. Identify risks and critical dependencies. Devise mitigation approaches to reduce program risk.
  • Support senior leader inquiries and requests for information with the capability of providing high quality and integrated responses under short timelines.
  • Review, develop and update program management plans and life-cycle cost estimates
  • Review and develop market research plans, analyses, and acquisition plans
  • Review, compile and develop cost estimation and acquisition program baseline documentation
  • Support the planning, programming, budgeting, and accountability process for resource allocation planning, congressional justifications, and acquisition planning
  • Review acquisition program baselines (APB)
  • Review JCIDS documentation and provide analysis on the probability of achieving key performance parameters.
  • Review Test & Evaluation Management Plans (TEMP)

You will develop artifacts required to successfully advise senior leaders including:

  • Information and Decision briefings
  • White Papers
  • Revisions to acquisition documentation
Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years' of systems acquisition management experience and a Master's degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline; or 12+ years and a Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of DoD Acquisition background required
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoD, OSD, or Joint-level Staff assignments
  • Experience supporting multi-functional technical engineering teams for large, complex programs
  • Experience with DoD 5000.02 and acquisition support for complex system acquisitions
  • DAWIA Certification in Program Management
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively solve problems
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired:

  • Former DoD Program Management experience
  • MDA Acquisition background desired
