Job Brief

Responsible for various aspects of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, modification, improvement, and regulatory requirements of plant production electrical, instrumentation, analytical, and control equipment.

What You'll Do

As the Maintenance Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for various aspects of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, modification, improvement, and regulatory requirements of plant production electrical, instrumentation, analytical, and control equipment.

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
  • Supports Business Improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Provide technical support, oversight, and direction to maintenance craftsmen, technicians, planners, and supervisors in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of plant production equipment.
  • Develop training materials, organize, and facilitate technical training for the plant maintenance staff
  • Direct and manage the condition monitoring contractors to ensure early detection of failures are identified and mitigated.
  • Implement electrical integrity program elements and functional safety proof testing.
  • Perform PCS program backups (PLCs, Servers, DCS, etc.)
  • Assist in the development of ideas and opportunities to improve plant production equipment health and performance.
  • Develop detailed procedures and processes for the care and maintenance of the production equipment.
  • Organize and lead technical investigations, inspections, and surveys, and assist in analyzing PM, PdM, and historical data, to determine equipment risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Organize, update, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment maintenance PM and repair documentation.
  • Plan, budget, and execute maintenance equipment modification and improvement projects.
  • Provide leadership to other members of the maintenance team

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (electrical and instrumentation)
  • 3+ years of petro-chemical plant, power generation, or similar heavy industry maintenance, engineering, or process experience.
  • Computer literacy in:

    o Microsoft Office Suite

    o SAP or similar CMMS

  • Familiarity with regulations governing Process Safety Management (PSM) and the application to the site engineering systems and operations.
  • Must be willing and eligible to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
