Job Description

Responsible land development depends on accurate environmental, geotechnical, and geophysical data. We both acquire and interpret this data, using our expertise, in situ testing, and world-class laboratory facilities to turn data into valuable knowledge.

The Senior Staff Professional will manage and conduct projects and will pursuit them from a commercial and technical perspective using independent actions and responsible judgment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and customized services to clients by 1) performing complex engineering work around the process of acquiring, analyzing, engineering, and interpreting complete and high-quality geo-related data
  • Provide engineering advice in multiple specialized technical disciplines
  • Develop solutions for clients by putting acquired geo-data into context,
  • Solve complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist
  • Propose improvements in research methods and quality systems
  • Provide technical input for tenders
  • Assist with the establishment and compilation of project procedures
  • Make recommendations, including any supplementary investigations
  • Contribute to acquisition activities
  • Take on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members.
  • Often lead/coordinate the work of a small team and/or deputize the manager, but people management is not a focus.

Job Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Possess an excellent understanding and knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines.
  • Possess an overall understanding of technical requirements and field data acquisition procedures.
  • Must be proficient in the use of software for communication, project management, and technical analysis.
  • Possess or able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
