Who you are

As the Senior Accounting Manager in Richmond, VA, you'll be responsible for the supervision of operations of the regional accounting office to provide quality and timely accounting services to our customers. Through planning, supervising, training, and supporting the accounting teams, you'll improve Colliers' profitability and achieve its mission.

What you bring

  • 2 years minimum experience managing a team of accounting professionals.
  • A minimum of 5 years of commerical property accounting/real estate industry experience in a high growth environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities

Bonus skills and experience

  • CPA Designation or Master's Degree in Finance or relevant field
  • Knowledge of Generally Applied Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
  • Experience at a Public company is an asset

What success looks like

  • Effectively ensures that direct reports follow policies and procedures relating to compliance and internal controls.
  • You successfully oversee the accuracy and productivity of all property management accounting and financial activities.
  • Ensuring that financial reporting is accurate and that reports are issued timely.
  • Effectively transition and set-up the accounting, banking, and financial reporting systems for new properties.
  • Successfully maintains regular contact and builds solid working relationships with National Controller, Managing Directors, Property Managers, and department leaders to ensure the highest level of customer service.
