Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Information Management Value Optimization Manager to join our Digital Services department based in Herndon, VA.

Job Summary:

As a Value Optimization Manager you will be responsible for Information Management (IM) Strategic Sourcing, Software Licenses, and Budget Planning/Controlling within the North America Governance team. The job duties include IM sourcing strategy, call for tender & operational contracts and software license management, as well as the creation of operating budgets, tracking budget adherence, and IM value improvement/optimization.

This position will contribute to secure the IM supply chain for digital services and software while transforming it to prepare for the future. You will also work closely with all Airbus NA IM Domains and the Finance team to monitor and report on the financial performance of the NA IM organization.

Your challenges:

Information Management Sourcing Management: 20%

* Implement IM Sourcing Strategy through shaping the Supplier landscape and contributing to Supplier selection in collaboration with NA IM domains and Procurement across Airbus North America.

* Drive the operational sourcing/license management activities including governance boards to foster rationalization & increase business value.

* Drive the continuous improvement of our way of working including monitoring of our strategic suppliers performance in collaboration with key stakeholders.

* Co-lead major contracts & sourcing multi-functional teams.

* Act as focal point for IM Domains to provide guidance on all sourcing related activities.

Information Management Licensing Management: 20%

* Define & implement software lifecycle management & operational supply chain monitoring guidelines.

* Drive software license compliance & lead audits within Airbus North America in coordination with NA IM domains.

* Foster synergies on software lifecycle management & sourcing coordination across Airbus North America and Airbus Group.

* Define and implement a Software License Optimization (SLO) strategy to make NA IM software licenses as cost-efficient and effective as possible through management of software license counts, usage, and cost.

Information Management Budgeting and Controlling: 50%

* Ensure alignment of IM Operating and Capital Budgets with IM Strategy

* Responsible for harmonizing, planning and executing the yearly OP exercise across the Airbus commercial and helicopters entities in the region.

* Establish a 5-year budget flight path plan for each IM domain in NA in alignment with the IM strategy in the region.

* Lead the generation of a dashboard/reports to measure the financial performance of each IM domain in NA and the IM organization in the region.

* In close cooperation with the Finance Team, you will:

Shape the governance of IM services (recurring costs - RCs), ensuring coordination across NA IM,

consolidation of data and providing action plans that will improve IM financial performance.

Ensure consistency between non-recurring costs (NRC) and RCs.

Define and clarify IM costing drivers.

Transform financial targets into action plans.

Define and ensure implementation of cost optimization measures.

* Support the execution of and ensure data quality and communication.

* Ensure compliance and enforce finance processes.

* Raise finance/budget awareness within IM.

* Drive and coordinate the work on IM Recurring Costs across the IM organization.

* Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines within IM.

* Ensure budget goals are achieved through proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions


Your boarding pass:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Finance/Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience in the field in lieu of degree.

* 10+ years experience in financial processes as well as controlling methods and principles.

* 10+ years monitoring and analyzing costs

* 10+ years developing/adjusting/controlling budgets

* 10+ years uncovering opportunities to reduce expenses/costs and improve financial performance

* 10+ years dealing with suppliers to negotiate cost reductions

* 10+ years license management and optimization

* Project Management certification preferred. e.g. PMP, SCM, or Safe

* ITIL certifications preferred

Travel Required:

* 10% Domestic and very limited possible international travel department immersion, subject to additional based on customer / project requirements
