Dry Ice Plant Operator-Honolulu, HI

Job Description
Assists with tasks such as production, packaging of dry ice, shipping preparation, and loading/unloading products in commercial trucks.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties
• Produce ,load and package dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards
• Operates dry ice machine , packaging machine , forklift and/or pallet jack daily to maneuver and load dry ice boxes on the production floor and trailers
• Learns and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures
• Clean up work areas including, but not limited to sweeping, painting, trash removal, and pick-up
• Participates in continuous improvement efforts
• A team builder with the ability to lead and motivate diverse management and hourly staff and build a positive employee relations culture and work environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
• Competent to work independently within the area of expertise.
• Ability to solve quality-related problems.
• Ability to deal with a variety of compliance situations and implement continuous improvement.
• Knows and follows all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment.
• Must be able to function within a team environment.
• Assist as directed on ad hoc projects.
Experience/Education
• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Service experience preferred
• High degree of integrity and openness in reporting responsibilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
