Requirements for consideration:
Minimum Education:
Associate Degree in science from a college/university recognized by regional or national accreditation agency. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology preferred
Other acceptable forms of education/experience will follow the guidelines of ASCP/AMT Board certification
Years of Experience:
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program, NAACLS or ABHES accredited MLT program, or a foreign medical laboratory science clinical training program within the 12 months can be used in lieu of one year of full time acceptable clinical experience.
Certification:
MLT(ASCP) or MLT (AMT)
Job Responsibilities
Ensure quality specimens for Laboratory testing by recognizing pre-analytical factors that adversely affect patient results.
To help achieve our mission, you will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.
Demonstrating a knowledge of operational/regulatory standards is expected.
Operating systems/methodologies in order to produce timely and accurate data for patients, quality control and proficiency testing is of vital importance.
Your ability to participate in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team and departmental development by demonstrating operational knowledge and adhering to regulatory standards is required.
