$10,000.00 Sign-On Bonus, 2 year commitment.

The Quality Improvement Coordinator will provide direction and ensure that operating metrics are met regarding the clinical quality, operational efficiency, patient care, and patient experience.

Qualifications:

* Travel to all Velocity Urgent Care sites is mandatory on a regular basis.


Education and Requirements:
* Current State issued Registered Nurse license.
* Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, with one (1) year of Urgent Care experience preferred.
* Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
* Experience in training clinical staff on back-office procedures.

Job Summary

The SMG Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for providing project management and facilitation, as well as, clinical oversight and support for the development, coordinator, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement activities for SMG non-providers, providers, and staff. Quality improvement activities include performance improvement, staff and patient safety initiatives and provider peer review. These include organizing relevant task forces, review of evidence-based literature/benchmarks, establishment of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of quality and appropriateness of care, continuous improvement, and achieving targeted goals as well as medical record review, occurrence/complaint investigations, and tracking/trending medical staff performance.

Three years of current experience in quality improvement activities preferred. Experience in a clinical area of acute care and/or ambulatory setting with demonstrated leadership, teaching and QI/PI facilitation skills preferred. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred.

Must be able to link the clinical effectiveness and clinical informatics arenas. Requires local travel and use of personal automobile. Requires flexibility in work schedule.

Qualifications:

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Nursing (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina, Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia
