ArbonRegional Technician Trainers are responsible for supporting field training and skills development of Arbon Service & Installation Technicians. Accomplished through the effective development, assessment, documentation, and implementation of Arbon technician training. This position also shares responsibility for administration of the Skills Assessment Pay Program (SAPP) program, ensuring program compliance, evaluation of skills and knowledge to levels, and performance of such.

These tasks may be accomplished individually with single technician OJT, or in staged environments with multiple attendees.

This position regularly reviews the skill assessment reports. Documents and updates as needed to account for changing skills requirements, program changes, certification processes. etc.,
ensuring program compliance, evaluation of skills and knowledge to levels, and performance of such.

Using skill assessment documentation and in consultation with Service and Operations Managers, ensures Technicians are receiving appropriate opportunities to be certified on skills, that documentation of certifications is properly maintained, and those who have earned advancement through the skill levels are recognized in a timely manner. At all times, ensures the integrity of skills certification throughout Arbon, ensuring that only those who truly have the skill are so certified.

Using data from skill certifications, and in consultation with Service and Installation Managers, identifies and prioritizes training needs within the supported region.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support service efforts through the development and execution of effective service training programs. 75% of time is spent physically "training" the technicians.

Maintain the effectiveness and integrity of the Arbon Skills Assessment Pay Program.

Contribute to a safe environment for all employees to work by inculcating a strong safety consciousness in all employees throughout all training programs.

Required Experience:

Qualifications for this position include solid mechanical and electrical experience, substantial training experience, and clerical and customer relations skills. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to demonstrate core competency levels of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Welding & Cutting.

This position must have a deep understanding of Loading Dock Equipment and Doors, of field service operations, and of the core technical competencies for Arbon Service & Installation Technicians.

Requires strong character with a drive to help people learn.
