Situational Awareness Planning Officer/Incident Support Branch
Remote
Overview:
Aveshka is currently seeking a seasoned Situational Awareness Planning Officer to serve as part of a team supporting the Incident Support Branch of the Emergency Support Section under the Special Operations Division within the Directorate of Field Operations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Support is required during both steady-state and activation operations and may require deployment to activation sites. Steady-state operations focus on providing specific operational pre-planning and liaison support to FEMA Regionals, State ESFs and local officials through the 10 FEMA Regions and the assigned RLECs (Government FTE) and Contractor Field Coordinators (FC). In addition to the field personnel, two (2) Operations Branch supervisors (Government FTEs) are assigned to HQ and supervise the RLECs and work with the CPM to task Contractor FCs. During activations, these personnel devolve into other ESF #13 functions in accordance with the incident ICS structure. Activations are dynamic situations and all contractor personnel within ESS may be expected to staff both ESF #13 and ISB missions to provide mission success, especially during busy periods. The success of the ESS mission has resulted in repeated situations where multiple missions occur simultaneously and an "all hands" effort is required to provide proper support.
